These are a few things to notice before doing the Hot Air Balooning in Cappadoccia:
1. How to choose the provider.
There are plenty of Hot Air Ballooning provider. Things to be considered is first thing first: SAFETY. Choose provider with outstanding safety record. You can see in their website and review in tripadvisor. Googling won't hurt either. Choose how many person are there on the balloon.See if they also have insurance on the flight, and how long does the provider have been operating the Hot Air Baloon. And last but not least, see how long they offer to be in the air. Most of them offer 1 hour in the air and 1,5 to 2 hour for the overall tour time. We chose Kapadokya Baloon since it has more than 30 years experience. The price is 175 EUR (and oh, it's worth every penny of it)
2. Time you will be picked up
Since the best time to watch the surrounding is when the sun is shine. We were picked up around 4 AM in the morning at our accommodation. From there, all the passenger were gathered in the Tour Agent's Office before being divided into a group in a balloon.
3. What's Next?
When you arrive at the landing place, it still around 6 am in the morning. All the balloon crew usually have gathered in the area and prepare for the airing. You will witness how the Hot air balloon works and when you will get into the basket. Here are some pictures from ballooning to soaring.
4. What to be prepared?
Camera, and Nothing. Nothing can prepare you for the epicness of the scenery you will witness from the above. It's just absolutely stunning, mind-blowing, jaw-dropping, eyes-popping, ground-breaking experience you SHOULD have in this life on planet earth. Really, take my advice, go there watch and see yourself. Camera will help you documenting everything, but nothing can bottle up every emotion you will have once you're out there.
5. Post Ballooning
Be able to fly thousands kilometers to reach soil of Cappadoccia and Witness the Magic from the above is definitely something to celebrate, and the crew from the Hot Air Ballooning just know how to celebrate. We were welcomed by a table of fine wine and made a toast with the whole crew and passengers. In addition to that i got a certificate, a memorabilia that i did nail it !!!
