After going to Istanbul for City Sightseeing, get lost in Roman and Greek ruins for three days, one day in Cotton castle, it seems logical to continue our trip further south to the Turkey's beautiful south coastal line. So we went to Fethiye. There are actually many cities with pretty coastal area overlooking the Mediterranean Sea such as Marmaris, Kas, Oludeniz, or even Antalya. We picked Fethiye because it close to Oludeniz and Butterfly Valley, and not that touristy.
We went to the Fethiye by Bus from Denizli and we stayed at Ideal Pension in Fethiye. This became our home for three night since we planned to have Butterfly Valley Tour, Saklikent Gorge Jeep Tour, and the Kayakoy Ghost Town where they're still within the area and there are daily tours with pickup service to our place.
After searching some provider, we chose Alaturka Turkey since they have a lot of options from Fethiye. So, these are places we visited on Full day of Oludeniz, Butterfly Valley, and St.Nicholas Tour. Oludeniz - Blue Lagoon
Around 8 in the morning me and my friend were picked up by our tour guide and he took us to Oludeniz first. Oludeniz is famous for its blue lagoon, so we spent good 1,5 hours enjoying the beach and the lagoon. The water color is a mixed between turquoise and aquamarine. The beach in Oludeniz has been certified as Blue Lag Beach, which means it has met several standard defined by the organization such as water quality, safety, and environmental criteria.
Butterfly Valley![]()
After we arrived, we walked to inside the valley. It is famous because of the shape of the cliff that flanked the beach gets narrower further from the beach. And it would be cool if we could take picture on top of the valley, that way, the V shape of the cliff can be seen clearly. That day i just walked until it get quite narrow and rocky and steepy, and then went back to the boat, since the time was limited.
